Sure Glad THAT'S Over!
Thanks and more thanks to our customers for support last week. We got our fridge repaired and we re-opened Friday 9/16 and we were SWAMPED! Can't thank you guys enough for your support.
Just for the record the fridge going down and being closed for 4 days didn't turn out too badly. Insurance should help with lost food, repairs and business interruption costs. A big thanks to Travelers Insurance who has handled our claim so fast it scares me.
Anyway, we're all set to go into fall and all the fun of Halloween and the Holidays. Don't forget you guys, Campione's Taste of Chicago is a great choice for your catered event.

End of Summer Update
So much has happened that I finally had to grab myself by the scruff of the neck and post, already!
First the bad news: Our refrigerator died and we lost EVERYTHING! Hey, if you're in the restaurant business it happens. We will open again September 16, after a new compressor is installed and Mama makes new sauce, chicken salad, meatballs etc. We are really sorry for the inconvenience especially any new folks who were going to check us out.
Now that we got that out of the way we can go to the good stuff.
The Gallatin News Examiner runs a Best of Sumner County poll each year where residents can vote for their favorite restaurant, night spot, park, etc. This year Campione's was included in four categories: Best lunch spot, Best restaurant, best samich and best take out.
Granddaughter Lexie is back at Lee College and will only be working with us on vacations and such. Here sister Amanda (another blond) is picking up the slack quite well. We also want to welcome Sandy to the Campione family. She's been with us a month or so and has been a great addition and really helps Mama Debbie during lunch and at closing.
Grandpa and Grandma Sam and LaRue will be back this fall. They have been stuck in Alabama while LaRue recovers from sholder replacement surgery. Rue is doing well but it takes a while

Eat Healthy at Campione's Taste of Chicago
After hosting a dinner for a Biggest Loser contestant one our "family" got curious about the calorie count of some of our samiches. The result? Move over subway! Campione's Italian Beef samich has only 460 calories and our Chicago Hot Dog only 280! Our fries are better too with no transfats and no saturated fats.
Bottom line, you can enjoy Campione's guilt free! Who knew?

Baseball at Campione's!
In a surprise move, the Chicago White Sox have moved to Gallatin Tennessee and are playing the most exciting baseball yet. Wearing the traditional Sox black and white these pros look distinctily undersized by major league standards. Did I mention they're kids?
Catch the Campione Chicago White Sox play Tuesdays and Thursdays. Get the whole scoop at www.guidescores.cm/superseries. The little sluggers play in the Cal Ripken-Rookie League Division and at last report are undefeated!
Yes, the team is fueled by Italian Beef samiches.

About Me
- Big Spiccone
- Gallatin, Tennessee, United States
- Rob Coxworth, the Big Spiccone, opened Campione's Taste of Chicago with wife Debbie on 911/2008. The aim is to bring Chicago style Italian fast food and pasta to an unsuspecting Tennessee! Both Debbie and the Big Spiccone spent their entire lives in the Chicago area before relocating to Castalian Springs Tennessee so you can be sure the food is authentic Chicago. Debbie is cook, organizer and generally in control having run an Italian Beef stand in Elgin for 10 years. The Big Spiccone is the Big Spiccone, nuff said! If your a Yankee or Damn Yankee (Damn Yankees come South and stay) and miss that taste of home. Stop on by if you're in the area and have lunch or dinner with us. It's like stepping into Chicago by opening our door! judged by two
